Independence Hotel in Sihanoukville – Where Jacqueline Kennedy Stayed

In 1967, Jacqueline Kennedy went on a whirlwind tour of Cambodia, hosted by no less than King Norodom Sihanouk himself. Whenever Honey and I would go to Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s “beach town,” for our regular honeymoon, we would usually go to Sokha Hotel (we get a really chunky discount) where we would enjoy luxurious facilities and a kilometer-long private beach reserved only for the hotel’s guests (see this post):
