American Idol Results – Real and My Poll

Just love Star World! I was able to watch the live telecast of the finals results show of American Idol this morning, albeit just bits and pieces, as I was preparing to go to work. I did get to catch Sanjaya (and that little girl who loved him to tears), the American Idol Sgt. Pepper tribute, the duet of Jordin and Ruben Studdard, and Bette Midler. I’ll just watch the show again tonight on the primetime telecast.

Anyway, I wasn’t that impressed with the performances last night and IMHO, Chris Daughtry, who sang this year’s elimination song Home, gave the best performance.  Heck, I think I enjoyed last night’s episode of Heroes better.  It was IN! TENSE!  So we finally know how Claire was adopted into the Bennett family.

So last night, a record of 74 million votes were cast on AI. A record number of votes were also cast on the kurokuroatbp online poll (the question is: who do you want to win in AI, Jordin or Blake?). And my grand total is…. 16!!! Mwahahahahahaha! Well, of course since it’s my first poll, although it’s pathetic, it’s still a record. :)

So brace yourself, I’m about to announce this year’s kurokuroatbp’s American Idol winner… after the break.

Haha! Just kidding! Kurokuroatbp’s American Idol winner is… janjajaran… BLAKE LEWIS!!!

It was a close fight though – 9 votes for Blake and 7 votes for Jordin.

Those who voted for Blake (according to the comments) are:

  1. Myself – naturally;
  2. Honey – because he always agrees with me :) ;
  3. Sydney- because he doesn’t watch AI and I told him to vote for Blake and he’s obedient ;) ;
  4. Pining – because like me, she’s fed up with belters and divas;
  5. Melai – who has loved Blake since the beginning;
  6. Wil- because he doesn’t like the way Jordin spells her name;
  7. Ey- who like me, also thinks that Blake has something new to offer, and
  8. two more people, bless them. :)

And the kontrabidas (villains) are (I say kontrabida with much affection):

  1. Snglguy – who’s tired of Blake’s beatboxing;
  2. Daphne – who agrees with Snglguy;
  3. Rhodora – who doesn’t like Blake’s Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh cheap ad libs (haha… won’t ban you Rhodora!);
  4. Noypetes – who likes the girl who is medyo may kalusugan ng kaunti to win;
  5. BW – who thinks that Blake is not in his element in AI;
  6. Belle – who’s tired of bah..buh, uh, ahhh…thing of Blake, and
  7. Verns – hmph! I thought you were my friend. :) (Haha – you’re still BFF – blog friend forever).

So there, I just created a rift among my blog readers between the Blakees and the Jordinees. That’s no way to improve my traffic, is it? :) Anyway, you guys know that I love y’all and I appreciate you guys reading my very democratic blog. In this blog… YOU HAVE A VOICE (even if it’s croaky… hehe!).

Okay, so you want to know the real winner? Stop reading and come back tonight if you haven’t seen the show this morning (at least for those in this part of the globe). Well, as I said in my previous post, I was rooting for Blake. So naturally, the winner is…

JORDIN SPARKS!!!

    wahehehehe! naaliw naman daw talaga ako sa mga side comments mo sa mga bumoto according to the last post commented as in talaga daw kailangan dire diretso itong comment ko na to walang period buti na lang may ! pagkatapos kung tumawa ng wahehehehe lol!!!

    inumpisahan kong panoorin ang idol nung nsa Singapore ako pero di ko natapos kasi la kaming cable dito…nasa channel 23 yata pero hindi ako maka channel 2 kaya di ko pinanonood lol!!! pero at least nibalita mo …teka ano result mam Toe?

    I think Jordin has more star appeal and that is why she won. Nonetheless, both have already won big time with ensuing lucrative concert tours and record deals.

    It was an exciting show! Can’t wait for the new season :)

    hi toe. hope you are feeling fine now after your bout with the chicken pox virus. anyway, i was rooting for Melinda all the way. Although Jordin won, for me Melinda is my American Idol for this season!

    i was disappointed with the result, too.. i think more americans needs a hearing aid for their ears to function normally :P

    Melai hahaha nakakatawa yung comment mo na walang period pero may ! ang nanalo yung babaeng medyo may kalusugan na ayon kay Noypetes. :)

    Eric, they always come up with such wonderful finals results show with all the celebrities and guests and great performances. :) I can’t wait for the next season either. :)

    Electra King, pareho tayo! I was always rooting for Melinda all the way and I was really disappointed she didn’t make it to the finals. Thanks, we’re much better now although still pangit. :)

    Last night’s finals was a no-brainer. It’s a singing contest for Pete’s sake, not hip-hop. It would have been more intense had the final showdown was between Melinda and Jordin.

    BTW, did you notice those huge thighs on Kelly Clarkson? My has she grown big! :-D

    i haven’t watched any of the AI episodes this season. Last year, I only saw the finals, which I think Hicks did a wonderful performance.

    And regarding the federer vs nadal poll, count me in roger’s favor.

    Snglguy, I actually thought that Kelly Clarkson was pregnant. We were even fighting about it. :)

    Lazarus, usually the finals is the best show. They could really come up with something great! :) Great… I’m hoping that Roger would win too. :)

    Great post mortem review LOL :) BTW, viewership of AI finals this year declined by 7 million according to latest stats . That’s pretty significant figure. What could be the reason. Quality of contestants perhaps? the charity drive? Simon Cowell’s petting of Paula Abdul? Or Simon Cowell himself ? :)

    Ngayon’g nakita ko na sa magazine ang mga hitsura ng mga ibang kalahok sa AI, alam ko na kung bakit kayo natatawa sa “may konting kalusugan” comment ko., Marami pala sila talagang may konting kalusugan duon sa AI. Yung isang lalaki na kulot-kulot na afro ang buhok medyo pareho silang sobra ang kalusugan nuong isang babae na humalik kay Mang Simon…Teka muna, anong tawag duon sa hairstyle ni Mang Simon? Parang may pak-pak siya sa ulo! Talaga palang yung mga malulusog na kalahok ay magaling umawit. Ika nga nuong nasa choir pa ako, sabi ng choir master namin “inhale and sing with your diapraghm”! Akala ko nuong una ay pang birth control lang ang “diapraghm” yun pala yung sa may tiyan mo iyon na taguan ng hangin(dito ba nang-gagaling ang utot?)! kaya pala pag malusog yung katawan mo, malaki rin yung bodega ng boses mo! At saka nakita ko yung isang mama na dating kampiyon din ng AI, ang tawag nila ay Da Velvet teddy bear ba yun? Uy! di na teddy bear iyon sa laki ah, kuwan na iyon sobra-sobra na sa kalusugan yun. Ang tawag namin sa mga malusog na kalaro namin nuon ay “mga napabayaan sa kusina kids”.

    BW, oh gosh… 7 million… that’s a really big decline in viewership. My thinking is that it’s probably the quality of the contestants. But I can’t imagine it could be that big though… I always enjoy watching AI.

    Noypetes, alam mo pati yung mga operatic singers… most of the time, may konting kalusugan nga sila. Tignan mo na lang si Mang Luciano Pavarotti at Mang Placido Domingo. Ang lalaki ng kaha nila kaya ang lalaki din ng boses. Si Mang Jose Carreras… payatot… kaya walang makaalala ng pangalan niya sa tatlong tenor. May kinalaman nga siguro ang kaha sa pag-awit dahil ang sarili mong katawan ang iyong instrumento. At oo… hindi lang pang-birth control ang diapraghm. :)
