Eyeball Crazy
Gone are the days when people who sat in front of computers all day long are deemed to be crazy nerdy anti-social introverted computer geeks with no social skills. These days, these people are simply called… bloggers.. though they retained the adjective “crazy.” How else would you describe people who reveal their deepest darkest thoughts to the world through their blogs?
But anyway, I recently met four of these bloggers in Manila — Snglguy, Annamanila, Verns, and Prab — and they were definitely far from being anti-social and introverted, though they were all crazy. In fact, they were all chatty, gregarious, sociable, and rollickin’ people. Okay, so Prab was kind of shy but I think that was because I bullied him to order quickly because I was going to be late for my appointment with my doctor. Sorry Prab… just exercising my authority as a blogging sophomore over a freshie. Hehehe!
The EB was set up because Verns had to give me this fantastic original Disney poster of The Nightmare Before Christmas… all the way from California from Datu Panot (who has not been blogging lately) and Annamanila mailed me books by Steinbeck and Bob Ong… which I haven’t received yet… because… well, maybe because I live here. 
The boys tagged along as the girls’ dates.
So we were all chit-chatting so fast and furiously, trying to fit in a zillion and a half words in the hour and a half we were together. Seriously, I doubt if any of us noticed the food at all. Guess what we talked about? Our passion of course… shopping! Ay, este… BLOGGING! And what else? Other bloggers of course… mwahahahahahahahahahaha! And we all swore to each other that what we talked about are confidentially safe among the five of us… and the entire blogosphere… mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Okay, so for the revelation. First of all, let me just say that Snglguy cheated when he posted our photos. Duh! That wasn’t us! He super-imposed other people’s faces on our bodies like they do in porn sites (except that we were fully clothed). I have no idea whose faces he put there… though I do have to admit that they are gorgeous. 
So I promised Snglguy that I would get back at him. So now… THIS is the photo of our REAL faces… TAJAN!!!
Mwahahahahahahahaha! That’s my diabolical deed for the day… guess who’s my accomplice? 
So from right.
First comes blogging hunk Prab of Thoughts and Rants of a Coffeeholic who is out of commission lately because of Internet problems. Too bad because Prab writes well and honestly. If you see him, he’s the type of guy a girl would want to introduce to her parents.
Then, in the flesh… Little Miss Sunshine herself, Vernaloo of My Life Shlife… bringing with her rays of beauty and sunshine all over the place. You won’t believe it but Verna is actually demure in person… hahaha!
Then, everyone can recognize my beautiful face.
And then the Scrabble Queen and diva herself… Annamanila of Ode2Old. She wasn’t included in Snglguy’s picture but here she is in this group photo. I sure hope that I could age as gracefully and as elegantly as she does. And naku ha… slim and sexy pa rin. Annamanila is as affable and gregarious as she is in her blog.
And finally, THE MAN! Snglguy! I’ve already revealed his true nature in a previous post… the man isn’t as cranky and evil as he projects himself to be. Mr. Snglguy is really Mr. Nice Guy! (Sorry for blurting out your secret again Snglguy!)
So the girls, being girls, all doled out gifts all around while the boys just sat there gaping guiltily empty-handed. Haha! As Annamanila said, it’s always the girls who think of these things. Annamanila gave me this beautiful fan… perfect with my Maria Clara outfit for Independence Day. And Verna gave me this to-die-for necklace. Hey, don’t the fan and the necklace match?
The hour and a half sped by much too quickly. Still much chismis left unsaid. But they all had to go back to work and I had to go to my derma (No, evil people… I did not have a botox!). At least, that’s what everyone said to say goodbye. But of course everyone knows the real reason… we all had to rush back to our computers to blog! Mwahahahahahahaha!
